About Theatre And Performance MA in York St John University

Our experienced tutors and guest artists will equip you to create performances for:

• Site-specific projects
• The touring studio

You will develop strategies to reflect, theorise and document your practice and be given a platform to share your thinking. With a fluid interrelationship between theory and practice, you will have the opportunity to take full advantage of the workshop, studio, seminar and virtual environments the university has to offer.

This course offers great opportunities for cross-disciplinary work, allowing you to engage with other students on the Applied Theatre, Music and Fine Arts courses. We will encourage you to engage in this collaborative practice, considering the implications of working in particular contexts or in response to specific commissions.

Our magazine, Theatre Pages, is produced by staff and students on our drama and theatre courses. Launched in 2011, it provides an insight into the work of our staff and students.
