About Computer Science (software Engineering) in University of Wolverhampton

Software Engineering involves the use of principles from the field of engineering in the development of computer software. The objective being to produce robust, quality systems that are fit for purpose, whilst being easy to maintain and adapt as the user requirements change. Programming is a fundamental skill for software engineers, throughout this course you will develop and enhance your skills in this area, through from the fundamentals at the start of your studies to advanced topics in software engineering in your final year.

Your studies will include object oriented programming and software design, in addition to systems programming and databases. In your final year, your studies will culminate in the development of software for your final project.
