OVERVIEW

Our MSc International Management is designed to help you build a career in management where an understanding of global contexts and issues is becoming increasingly important. The MSc will equip you with the theoretical knowledge and conceptual skills to work in environments requiring high levels of international managerial competence. International guest lecturers and case studies will help you better understand the international contexts of management.

COURSE DETAILS

You will study modules covering general management and its key functional areas and the development of the applied professional skills, practices and techniques in the management environment.

For the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) stage, you will study the following core modules:

  • International Business Management (core, 20 credits)
  • Leadership and Change in a Developing World (core, 20 credits)
  • Organisational Performance of MNEs (core, 20 credits)
  • Strategic Management in an International Context (core, 20 credits)

To complete the PgDip, you will require to successfully pass another 40 credits made up from optional modules which include:

  • Accounting and Finance for International Managers (optional, 20 credits)
  • International Marketing Management (optional, 20 credits)
  • Global Digital Business (optional, 10 credits)
  • Cultural Diversity and International Business Ethics (optional, 10 credits)
  • Contemporary Organisation Theory (optional, 10 credits)
  • Critical Approaches to Management and Organisation (optional, 10 credits)

Successful completion of the PgDip allows you to proceed to the master's dissertation module:

  • MSc International Management Dissertation (core to MSc, 60 credits)

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Students must have successfully completed at least one year of undergraduate study with recognized institution.
