About Philosophy BA (hons) in University of Sussex

Studying Philosophy at Sussex means combining the traditional with the alternative, and exploring a range of unexpected approaches to the basic questions of philosophy. You get to study both analytic philosophy and continental philosophy – an opportunity rare at other universities – and choose from options such as Islamic and feminist philosophy.

Academic qualification equivalents

• 80% from ISC Indian School certificate of Education (CISCE)  or 80% from SSC All India Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE)

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS          :          6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component
• TOEFL        :          88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
• PTE             :           62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills.
