About BA (hons) / Bsc (hons) Education (primary) in University of Stirling

Choose a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the University of Stirling, and we’ll equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to start a career in one of the most rewarding professions. 

We’ll prepare you to teach across the whole curriculum and primary age range, and also enable you to develop a specialism in a particular area. You can choose from seven subject specialisms:

• Numeracy
• Primary Science (in partnership with Heriot Watt University)

Academic qualification equivalents

• Direct Entry to 1st Year:

  Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 65% and above.

  Advanced Entry to 2nd Year:

  Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 75% and above. Advanced entry is possible on a range of courses. Student applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS :6.0 overall including 5.5 in all elements
• TOEFL IBT: 88 overall including R=22, L=21, S=23, W=22
• PTE: 54 R, L, S, W = 51
