About Transport Engineering And Planning in University of Salford

Delivered for over forty years, our MSc in Transport Engineering and Planning is recognised as a strong postgraduate qualification for students interested in the management, engineering and planning of transport infrastructure.

Shaped by industry and real-world relevance, the course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (Institution of Structural Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Highways & Transportation) as fully satisfying requirements for Further Learning for a Chartered Engineer (CEng). Our membership of the national Universities Transport Partnership ensures that course content and skill development reflect industry needs.

The course is open to applicants from a wide range of relevant backgrounds. It is especially beneficial if you are interested in developing your career with an engineering consultancy, local and central governments planning department, or passenger transport authority.

You can choose full-time or part-time study. The part-time route is designed to fit around existing commitments and can used by employers as a graduate training programme.
