There is a growing market for environmental managers and consultants. Our graduates have left well equipped for professional roles – 94% of leavers are in work and/or study 15 months after the end of their course [1].
We offer you a unique opportunity to develop your environmental management skills alongside your awareness of environmental science and policy.
Build your practical experience with fieldwork and research projects that will further develop your skills and prepare you for employment.
Opportunities for you to network with potential employers are built into the course. Our students have previously worked with clients including research institutes, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and environmental consultancies. Companies include Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, Rothamsted Research, Forest Research, British Geological Survey, Environment Agency, the Urban Orchard Project, National Trust, RSPB and R3 Environmental.
You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience of contaminated site investigation and present your findings to an expert panel, made up of a mixture of clients from industry and academics.
You will benefit from our custom-designed building with specialised research facilities, learn with our internationally-recognised experts and complete a dedicated residential field class in Dartmoor.
