About Counter Fraud And Counter Corruption Msc in University of Portsmouth

There's never been a greater need for counter fraud and counter corruption experts – and our MSc Counter Fraud and Counter Corruption degree course gives you the chance to the growing ranks in the private and public sectors.

On this course, you'll study current research on the extent and nature of fraud and corruption, and the strategies used to combat them. You'll choose from core subjects like criminology and cybercrime, and choose your specialisms, including International Fraud and Corruption, International and Transnational Offending and Managing Investigations, depending on the career path you want to pursue.

You can choose to study full or part-time, either on campus or through distance learning.

This course has been developed in partnership with the Counter Fraud Professional Accreditation Board, the Department for Work and Pensions, and the NHS Counter Fraud and Security Management Service.

That means when you graduate, you'll have all the skills you need for a successful career in the criminal justice sector, or related fields, and transferable skills which will support your career development.

Academic qualification equivalents

• For entry to our Master's programmes, you will generally need to have a Bachelor's degree with at least 2nd Class Honours to be considered.

  You may be admitted to Master's programmes with a lower level degree if you have work experience relevant to the degree applied for. Find out more about Recognised Prior Learning.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS: A  minimum of IELTS band 6.5–7.0, with no component below 6.0.
• TOEFL iBT: For most of our Master's degrees, you need a score of 91 with a minimum of:20 in Reading 19 in Listening 21 in Speaking 20 in Writing.
• PTE:  At least 61 points, with a minimum of 54 in each component
