About Advanced Dental Nursing Diphe in University of Portsmouth

On this course, you’ll gain the essential knowledge you need to become registered with the GDC, while learning practical and professional skills in our first-rate facilities. You'll be an essential member of the dental team, with a scope of practice which allows you to increase your role in patient care.

After the course, you’ll be set to take on a variety of careers in the dental industry. You could go on to work in a clinical environment or in health promotion, management, the NHS, as well as private general and specialist dental practice.

What you'll study on this DipHE Advanced Dental Nursing course

Each module on this course is worth a certain number of credits.

In each year, you need to study modules worth a total of 120 credits. For example, 4 modules worth 20 credits and 1 module worth 40 credits.

Academic qualification equivalents

• If you have an average of 75% or above in the 12 Standard (State Board) examinations or 70% in the Central Board, we'll consider you for admission onto an undergraduate course such as a Bachelor's degree. You must have studied relevant subjects and achieved strong grades.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS: A minimum of IELTS band 6.0, with no component below 5.5.
• TOEFL iBT: For most of our Bachelor's degrees, you need a score of 79 with a minimum of:18 in Reading 17 in Listening 20 in Speaking 17 in Writing Some courses, especially those with a high level of discussion and writing, require higher scores. • PTE:  54 points, with a minimum of 51 in each component.
