Your future

We prepare you to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) upon completion of the programme, as registered Mental Health Nurses. Our programme helps you achieve the outcomes identified in the NMC Standards for Pre-registration Nursing Education (NMC 2010.) This includes the standards for competence, the Essential Skills Clusters and the requirement of Directive 2005/36/EC.

Academic Entry Requirements

Postgraduate Degrees (Master's)

For entry to our Master's programmes, you will need to have met the following:

• Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year for UK 2:2 OR 65% for UK 2:1(50% for UK 2:2 OR 60% for UK 2.1 from top University:Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Osmania, JNTU)
• 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements

You must show your English language skills to complete your course. Requirements vary by course and level, but the good news is, you don't have to wait to reach the required level before you apply.

Here's what you need:

• IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component

For some undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses, you need:

• IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component

For MPhil/PhD postgraduate research degrees, you need:

• IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component

For many of our extended degree programmes, you will need:

• IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
