Our new MA in Media and Creative Cultures explores the themes of identity, power, subcultures and the creation of meaning in contemporary media.

This master's course explores the latest digital and media research methods and helps you engage with critical materials and cultural developments.

You'll not only analyse media, but also create and curate media, assisted by innovative research projects and visits to media institutions across London. You're also encouraged to engage with London's pioneering cultural and media scene, with its many festivals, exhibitions, installations, conferences and workshops.

Assessment

This Master's degree uses a combination of teaching, learning and assessment methods. It is based upon an independent, though supervised, research project undertaken by the student combined with structured learning through lectures, seminars and site visits.

While a combination of traditional and innovative assessment forms is used, written assignments remain as the core format of assessments. Blogs, audio-visual presentations and site-specific tasks, however, also occupy a significant part of the assessment process.

Academic Entry Requirements

Postgraduate Degrees (Master's)

For entry to our Master's programmes, you will need to have met the following:

• Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year for UK 2:2 OR 65% for UK 2:1(50% for UK 2:2 OR 60% for UK 2.1 from top University:Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Osmania, JNTU)
• 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements

For MPhil/PhD postgraduate research degrees, you need:

For many of our extended degree programmes, you will need:

• IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
