What skills do you need to manage projects effectively and efficiently in different cultures and societies? How can you apply these skills to manage multiple, global projects across fields as diverse as marketing, operations and supply chains

Project management is the discipline of organising resources to complete projects within defined time, cost and quality constraints, with acceptable levels of risk. Major global projects require professionals with integrated skills, who can operate in a variety of cultural and socio-economic settings around the world.

This course uses innovative teaching methods, such as group work and applied projects, to develop the leadership, communication and problem solving skills necessary to successfully manage international projects. You also have the option to complete a comprehensive business plan instead of a dissertation.

MSc Global Project Management is aimed at students who may not have studied business at undergraduate level.

Our expert staff

You’re taught by expert staff with strong academic and industry backgrounds and expertise in: business ethics and corporate social responsibility; organisation studies; leadership and strategy; finance and banking; risk management; and international management.

Our lecturers tackle the challenges currently being faced by commercial organisations, public sector bodies and the third sector, applying social science theories to real-world issues.

Specialist facilities

You study at our Southend Campus, in the heart of the seaside town of Southend-on-Sea.

Our town centre campus is located near London in the Thames Gateway, one of the UK’s priority areas for economic growth and offering fantastic internship and networking opportunities for students. You’ll have use of The Forum, with superb IT facilities and group working areas.

As well as excellent educational facilities and opportunities to improve your study skills, you can take advantage of the town’s vibrant social life. You are a short walk from a host of bars, restaurants and shops, as well as all of the excitement of the seafront, including a theme park, aquarium and award-winning beaches.

A degree in any discipline with an overall grade of between 51-56% OR 6.2-7.2/10, depending on the degree institution.

English language requirements

If English is not your first language, we require IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum component score of 5.5
