Making a choice between an MChem or BSc course can be difficult. You’ll be given advice before you begin studying and while you’re a student here. And, because of the common structure of our courses, you can transfer between the MChem and BSc in your first or second years.

​​​Academic qualification equivalents

• Students achieving 70% + in the Higher Secondary School Certificate- Standard 12 will be considered for entry to the First Year of three year Bachelor degrees. The requirement will vary depending on examination board and course applied for.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS :6.0 overall with minimum of 5.5 in each component
• TOEFL IBT:79  Reading:18,Writing:17,Listening:17,Speaking:20
