Tourism is one of the world’s biggest industries and this course provides excellent professional training with an international perspective that will give you practical and transferable skills.
Our International Tourism Management with Marketing degree covers the environmental, sociocultural and economic impacts of tourism in both developed and developing destinations, alongside contemporary issues in the highly globalised tourism industry.
By specialising in marketing, you will learn how to assess the competitive marketing environment and apply key marketing principles to create your own marketing plan. Your learning will be enhanced by visiting industry guest speakers, opportunities to work on live consultancy projects and field trips, which have included airside at Gatwick Airport and theme parks in the UK and overseas.
The optional placement year is an opportunity to gain first hand sector experience and put into practice all you have learned in your first and second year to give you an advantage in the job market when you complete your final year.
Course content benefits from our links to professional organisations; we are a member of the Association of Tourism in Higher Education (ATHE) and an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) giving you the opportunity to graduate with a degree and a CIM qualification depending on which modules you choose.
