Our prestigious undergraduate Liberal Arts and Sciences degree course is designed for talented students who want to study Liberal Arts, a variety of Sciences, or a mix of both, at degree level.

As a Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences student, you will be part of a vibrant and diverse community that welcomes and celebrates differences.  There are many opportunities to help shape the School, such as participating in student-leadership groups, our themed Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences community meetings, and our curriculum development group.  You can also get involved by taking a role in the thriving Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences Society, or one of the Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences official student-ambassador positions (current roles include Media and Communications, and Equality and Diversity).  In addition to our Cultural Programme, we normally have plenty of social events where you can mix with students and staff, such as our regular tea and biscuits on Mondays, the Christmas party, and other events that take place in the Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences hub. Entry requirements

• In order to undertake a programme of study here at the University, you will need to demonstrate that you have a good level of written and spoken English. You can demonstrate your level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications. English Language test certificates should be no more than two years old on the start date of your chosen programme. The sections below will tell you what grades you need in these qualifications for the subject area you want to study.

When this is so, we will ensure that you are informed using the contact details you have provided on your application. If you have been instructed and assessed in English language at a recognised institution, you may be exempt from these requirements.
