While engineers work in many different industries, from aerospace and automotive to energy and medicine, all engineers use creativity to design solutions to the problems we face in the world today.

Engineering is one of the most satisfying professions. You get results and, at the end of the day, you get to see your work in action. As an Engineer, you need to be good at mathematics and to have a sound grasp of basic sciences, but you must also be creative and be able to sell your ideas to clients and colleagues.

Why Study Engineering?

• The first two years of our engineering programmes cover general engineering. This means you develop vital knowledge in all engineering areas – making you far more adaptable in employment.

A good degree in Engineering will set you up for a wide range of career opportunities, working on solving some of the world’s great engineering challenges. Many of today’s Managing Directors and CEO’s in high powered industries also started their careers as engineers. The School of Engineering at Aberdeen is justifiably proud of its students and graduates, believing them to be the best advert for the work of the School. With their excellent reputation, our graduates are in high demand from employers.

An Engineering degree at the University of Aberdeen can also lead to the opportunity of further study. Every year many of our students come back for postgraduate study either on one of our taught programmes or to gain higher degrees by research. The University’s Careers and Employability Service helps undergraduates find employment by providing a range of training opportunities and information on prospective employers.

Academic qualification equivalents

• At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements.

University of Aberdeen Tuition Fees And Other Expenses

Aberdeen manages to provide a fixed fee structure throughout the program for international students so that they can project the amount in advance.

• The undergraduate arts fee starts from £17,200 and for sciences, it’s around £19,700.
• The postgraduate fee is variable and depends upon the degree chosen and discount of around 20% can be availed by Alumni of college
• For Undergraduate arts degree annual fee is of £ 17,200 which adds up for £68,800 and for engineering it is £19,700 and a total of £78,800.
• As per the calculation done by college the minimum cost of living in the U.K which covers all the basic expenses is around £1,000.
