That’s why in your second year you will work in a team to produce software and also learn new styles of programming in Java, a language widely used in business and industry, and a second language. Your third year enables you to tailor your degree to suit your interests and strengths with a wide range of modules to choose from and an individual project, either developed from your own idea or from a wide selection offered by staff members.

How you will be assessed

Each module is assessed independently with all containing some components of continuous assessment. Some modules are completely assessed by coursework. Assessment methods include end-of-year examinations in May and June, written assignments, oral and poster presentations, computer-based tests, marked exercises, and laboratory and project reports. Feedback is an essential part of learning and the way we help to shape your success.

We use a wide range of methods, such as written feedback on your assessments, class feedback sessions and discussions with your tutor.

We know that life as a student can be busy and that juggling work and a social life can be hard. That’s why our purpose built multi-million-pound building offers 24-hour swipe access for all our students to access our state-of-the-art facilities whenever they need to.

We encourage group work and face-to-face interaction with your fellow students and academics, that’s why there are plenty of student areas in the building and collaborative student and staff spaces.

Holders of the Indian Standard XII will be considered for entry .You will be required to provide evidence of an English Language qualification to demonstrate your ability, such as IELTS. Applicants with appropriate grades in Standard XII English (English Core/English Elective/Functional English in CBSE) do not require additional SELT qualifications.

English Language Tests Scores

English requirements differ per program but the average IELTS accepted minimum scores are 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all elements.

IELTS equivalence in some other accepted tests

There are various country accepted qualifications, applicants are to check in to see what language test is accepted for their country. An example is the Indian Standard XII qualification that requires a grade of 65% and above in the following boards: CBSE, CISCE, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh t match the IELTS 6.0 with no element lower than 5.5 requirements.
