About Public And Environmental Health, Bsc (hons) in University Centre Weston

We have great links with the sector’s professional body, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), and this course is taught by lecturers who have full membership of CIEH.

The course is taught in the bespoke laboratories and classrooms at our Winter Gardens and Knightstone Campuses, where you will undertake practical and academic studies of the legal and scientific principles that govern biological, physical, chemical and psychological stressors in a public and environmental health context.

You will also enhance your knowledge in preferred areas of professional practice and, be encouraged to undertake activities such as environmental assessments and audits. In recent years, students have undertaken fieldwork at food manufacturers, power plants, music festivals and quarries.
