About Ai And Robotics in Staffordshire University

The course is underpinned by solid traditional teaching in each area, providing great employment opportunities within these fields. We offer an optional foundation year for those who wish to re-enter into education, retrain or simply wish to obtain the perfect skills for entry to the award.  

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere from mobile phone apps to self-driving cars and, when combined with robotics, forms a vital part of our future, as recognised by companies such as Google, Amazon. It now even forms a major part of UK Government planning. 

You’ll start by studying modern software languages: - Java, Python, Computer Hardware with Electronics and Mechanics to give you a solid start to your career.  

You’ll then extend your skills in areas such as 3D Robotic design, Programming Micro-controllers in C, AI Basics, CISCO networking, C++ and even the Ethics of Living in a Robotic Society.  

If you prefer a sandwich degree or part time mode, we can help you gain vital experience anywhere in the UK, Europe or beyond, providing you with excellent contacts and experience for your CV for the start of your professional career.  

Entry requirements

To apply for an undergraduate (bachelors) degree you need one of the following qualifications:

• Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12/ XII with a minimum score of 65% overall

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 28 points overall
• Successful completion of a relevant International Foundation Year from a recognised UK Institution
