An intellectually challenging and professionally relevant course, underpinned by academic and professional expertise, this degree combines a unique blend of academic rigour, practical application and professional development, providing the relevant skills necessary for those wishing to operate in the property industry. Graduate with the ability to meet the academic, professional and ethical standards required by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Live projects
The course includes practical, client-focused property projects. These involve you completing technical and professional tasks and applying creative solutions that draw on your developing knowledge. You also complete an individual in-depth dissertation that requires a critical and evaluative approach to professional practice and theory.
Field trips
On the international field trip you work with students from across related subjects to increase understanding of the other roles in the profession that interact on a day-to-day basis and how the role of a Chartered Surveyor fits in with these roles. It also develops the skills and knowledge that are essential to becoming an effective professional practitioner.
