About Fine Art BA (hons) in Robert Gordon University

We understand that it may be difficult to pinpoint right now the exact direction you wish to follow in your studies. That is why we have introduced a new entry route, allowing you to study the Fine Art practice in Year 1, and then choosing your course before entering Year 2.

You will engage in a series of multidisciplinary experiences that will give you a greater understanding of the critical, creative and professional skills that you will need to flourish.

Throughout first year, you will be provided with tutorial guidance to help you identify where your strengths, weaknesses, and motivations lie. This will support you in making the most appropriate choice for your intended area of study for the rest of your time at university.

​​​Academic qualification equivalents

• The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).

English language requirements (one of the below):

•  IELTS: 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
• TOEFL iBT : 80  with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20
  Writing - 17
• PTE:56 overall  with minimum of 51 in each component
