About Electronic And Electrical Engineering Beng (hons) in Robert Gordon University

With an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree you’ll work with the design and operation of a broad range of vital circuits and systems that that fulfil society’s needs. You’ll have an exciting career with the right knowledge and understanding of analogue and digital design to change tomorrow’s world of electrical and electronic engineering.

You’ll gain knowledge of integrated circuits applied to robotics, instrumentation, computer and communication systems, in addition to power generation and transmission, electrical motors and renewable energy. You will put your learning to the test with challenging team projects, including building underwater robots and armoured sumo wrestling robots. You will also have the opportunity to specialise in two areas, which will further enhance your employment prospectus when you graduate.

​​​Academic qualification equivalents

• The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).

English language requirements (one of the below):

•  IELTS: 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
• TOEFL iBT : 80  with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20
  Writing - 17
• PTE:56 overall  with minimum of 51 in each component
