About Mechanical Engineering Beng (hons) in Oxford Brookes University

Our Mechanical Engineering BEng course develops you into a skilled incorporated engineer. And prepares you for a career in any area of mechanical engineering. You can also take our MEng to become a chartered engineer.

You’ll develop your specialist knowledge in the core fields of engineering and learn how to apply basic principles to complex problems. You will study;

• engineering science
• applied mathematics
• manufacturing techniques
• electronics
• graphics and design. 

We will develop your design and analytical skills through individual and group work. You’ll gain practical skills by manufacturing a model Stirling Engine in our workshop.

We offer you excellent work placements with companies such as Bentley, BMW and Rolls Royce. Many students have secured permanent roles with their placement company.

Higher secondary academic level qualification/ Higher Secondary School Certificate/Standard XII standard with at least 65%  from recognised University in India ans subjects including Maths, Physics . IELTS 6.0-7.0, with 6.0 in reading and writing, and 5.5 in listening and speaking
