About MA Criminology in Nottingham Trent University
This Criminology Masters course gives you the opportunity to gain a critical and informed understanding of criminology, by exploring the debates at the forefront of the field. There is a particular emphasis upon the practical realities, uncertainties, complexities and solutions available for criminal justice and crime reduction.
This Masters degree draws upon the expertise of staff with established reputations in the field. Tutors have a wide range of research interests and they are actively involved with the Nottingham Crime Research Unit and the Centre for the Study and Reduction of Hate Crimes, Bias and Prejudice. These specialist units are located within the Department and conduct high quality applied criminological and criminal justice research.

Nottingham Trent University Admission Procedure
- Application: The UG applications are accepted through ‘Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)’ and PG applications through the ‘NTU applicant portal’.
- Application fee: One needs to pay £13 for 1 UG course and £24 for multiple UG courses.
- Application deadlines: For UG students the last date to apply is June 30, 2019. The PG programs don’t have any official deadline, however, it is better to apply one month prior to course start date.
- General requirements: Completed application form, academic transcripts, and English proficiency tests.
- Additional requirements: Birth certificate, passport copy, LOR.
English Proficiency Test: Majority of the courses require IELTS score ranging between 6.0 and 6.0 for entry. However, other equivalent English test scores are also acceptable.
