If you already have an HND or foundation degree, this course will allow you to top it up to an honours degree with just one year of additional study. You’ll build on your all-round knowledge of business, adding a strong emphasis on logistics and supply chain management (LSCM).
The course includes specialist modules in supply networks, strategic supply chain management, and innovation and IT in the supply chain. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport has accredited the course, which helps give our graduates additional credibility and employability.
There’s plenty of support for you to develop the academic study skills that are required. Whatever your background, we’ll help you take the more critical, deeper and more research-informed approach that’s needed for an honours degree at a UK university.
The degree is designed to be a stepping stone to jobs and promotion in the vibrant sector of LSCM, which is having a profound impact on organisational efficiencies. The UK’s top 10 food retailers have voted LCSM as their most vital management area. There are exciting and rewarding jobs in purchasing, logistics, planning, international trade and imports/exports.
The relevance, rigour and internationalisation of the course are set to meet some of the highest and most demanding levels of accreditation. The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was ‘Business School of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education Awards 2015.
