You will develop knowledge of industry-standard computer-aided design and analysis techniques. You'll gain a practical understanding of software packages such as:

• Simulink
• PSpice
• ERACS

You will research a specialist topic of your choice through an in-depth project. Innovative educational techniques will equip you with practical design skills and research methodologies.

On graduating, you will have the knowledge and practical experience ready for a career in electrical power engineering. Your learning and research skills will also provide a solid foundation for further study.

A 2:2 BEng honours degree, or equivalent, in:

• electrical and electronic engineering
• computer engineering

Typically we recognise 58% from section 1 universities and 60% from section 2 and 3 universities as comparable to a 2.1 and 55% from section 1 and 2 universities and 58% from section 3 universities as comparable to a 2.2.

This can be in any of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor degree
• Bachelor Pass or General degree in Arts, Science or Commerce
• Bachelor Special or Honours degree
• Bachelor degree in professional subjects
