Overview
From nutrition and neuroscience to muscle and bone, develop an expert understanding of the systems and organs that make humans tick. Studying our MSc Physiology programme offers a detailed look at it all, letting you explore the fundamental systems of human life.
You’ll cover a range of units around physiology, each offering an in-depth look into different systems or specialisms – from neuroscience and nutrition, to the cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal systems. From there, you’ll have the chance to take a deep dive into a topic of your choice, with an independent research project. It’s your chance to tackle the issues that fascinate you – while developing an understanding of both the process and the communication of scientific enquiry.
So, by the time you graduate, you’ll have everything you need to open doors for your future. Whether that means progressing to PhD level, becoming a physiologist in a healthcare setting or pursuing a role in teaching, management or research, our MSc Human Physiology can pave the way.
