As governments look to promote the benefits of lifelong physical activity and sports bodies and clubs strive to ensure talented athletes fulfil their potential, the demand for highly qualified coaches has never been greater. Informed by expert coaches, this course will increase your skills and expertise and enhance your career as a professional sports coach.

With a passion for coaching, you will focus on specific sports that interest you. Selecting from a range of option modules, you will be able to direct your learning towards your own practice and career goals.

Working with your course tutors and fellow student coaches on the course, you will draw on insights from contemporary practice and research to add depth to your existing knowledge and skills. Your refined expertise will improve your confidence, helping you to develop your professional judgement and decision making so you can plan, deliver and evaluate long-term coaching programmes that consider and prioritise the developmental needs of your participants. You will graduate with new insights about what coaching strategies work for you and your participants and why.

With an established Research Centre for Sport Coaching & Physical Education, you'll be taught by top class coach experts who produce world renowned research on the topical issues of sports coaching.

Academic qualification equivalents

Qualification: Bachelor degree

Grade: 2.5 GPA for 2:2 equivalent

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
• All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) – English Grade 70% 
• Indian School Certificate (Class-XII) (CISCE) – English Grade 70%
