About Aircraft Engineering Beng (hons) in Kingston University

It is possible for you to complete the Engineering Foundation course (H408) at Kingston University and the BEng(Hons) at the International Centre for Aerospace Training (ICAT), Cardiff and Vale College.

If you are interested in a career in aircraft engineering maintenance and would rise to the challenge of signing-off aircraft as fit to fly, this degree is ideal. Students who successfully complete and satisfy the EASA requirements of the course can apply for an EASA aircraft maintenance licence after a further period of work experience.

Professional accreditation

This is the only UK degree that mirrors the requirements of EASA Part-147 approved courses, and it is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society as meeting the requirements for IEng registration with the Engineering Council. The course is taught at a number of partner colleges – Newcastle College, and Cardiff and Vale College - and all are EASA Part-147 approved. This course is currently accredited until 2021 entry.

Academic qualification equivalents

• Students who have successfully completed Standard XII examinations will be considered for entry onto our undergraduate degrees across the full disciplinary spectrum.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS :6.0 overall including 5.5 in all elements
• TOEFL IBT: 80 overall including R=20, L=19, S=21, W=20
• PTE: 50 R, L, S, W = 50
