Whether you are looking for a role in the provision and management of financial services or planning to undertake research in the area, this course will equip you with the appropriate theoretical and practical learning.

As well as communication and presentation skills, vital in this complex industry, you’ll gain knowledge of accounting practices, statistics, financial management, banking and insurance, plus a thorough overview of the international financial environment.

You’ll graduate with the technical and informational analysis skills you need to create a rewarding career in the industry and the means to apply your knowledge of research methods.

How you’ll be taught

This is a full-time course and you will learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials and independent study.

This is a full-time course and is split up into three trimesters. You can choose to start in either January or September.

Duration:

• September starts: 12 months
• January starts: 18 months with a three-month break over the summer (after the first taught trimester)

The entry requirement for this course is a Bachelor (Honours) Degree at a 2:2 or above.

Holders of UK degrees in Finance will not be admitted to this course.

We may also consider lesser qualifications if you have sufficient professional work experience within the industry.

6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5

TOEFL Internet Based Test

80 overall with a minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing

Pearson’s Test of Academic English

56 overall with a minimum of 51 in each component

Academic requirements:

• Undergraduate: Overall of 60% in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or higher in the Intermediate (10+2) (XII Standard) or the international United Kingdom equivalent.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, other tests that are accepted by the university include TOEFL ‘At Home’ Test (same scores as of TOEFL iBT), IELTS Indicator (same scores as of TOEFL iBT), online Edinburgh Napier English Language Courses, Duolingo, and IELTS Academic tests taken more than two years but less than four years will be considered with the use of English language in work or education during that period playing a big role.
