This part-time course is designed for those who wish to pursue their career and research interests in leadership and management. Focused and pragmatic, the MA forms the apex of our suite of management programmes.
At this level, middle to senior managers are expected to develop the ability to reflect on their management practice. This enables them to “learn to learn” effectively and apply this skill repeatedly when confronting and researching complex management issues.

Course information
We have a range of taught postgraduate awards to suit your needs, from Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma to a full Master's Degree (MA, MBA, LLM). In most cases you can decide to exit at Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma level, without carrying onto the full Master's qualification.
This part-time course has been designed for those who wish to pursue their career and research interests in leadership and management. The course is designed with the professional student in mind and many of the assessments focus on strategic workplace issues. Students may also choose to graduate after year one (PgCert) or year two (PgDip) however the MA forms the apex of our suite of leadership and management programmes.
Career prospects
The course aims for students to emerge with well-developed powers of self-reflection, clear perspectives on strategy and strategic thinking, and highly effective management and research skills. All of these skills are demanded by employers in private, public, and third sector organisations around the world.
Graduates from the MA should be well informed to face the challenges of senior managers working in organisations in the twenty-first century. For those currently employed but wishing for career progression, this course can allow the application of advanced skills and knowledge in the relevant industry.

To prepare students for the challenges of the global employment market and to strengthen and develop their broader personal and professional skills Coventry University has developed a unique Global Leaders Programme.
The objectives of the programme, in which postgraduate and eligible undergraduate students can participate, is to provide practical career workshops and enable participants to experience different business cultures.
