Entry is open to degree graduates. However, those applicants who demonstrate equivalent practical, professional or educational experience of an appropriate kind may be granted admission.
If you have completed a Diploma in Career Guidance, New Zealand Diploma in Career Development, Diploma in Advanced Career Guidance or equivalent. You may be able to go on to gain this qualification and work across the career development profession.
A qualification in Career Development at level 6 or higher fulfils part of the requirements of professional membership for Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ).
Structure and timetable
Expect to spend around five to nine hours per course each week to be able to successfully complete this programme (depending on when your assessments are due and your previous knowledge of a topic).
This programme is mostly completed online with two 3 day weekend face to face workshops per year.
About workshops
The weekend face to face workshops are a highlight of the programme.
Costs of flights and accommodation are an individual responsibility of you the student.
Each workshop will involve a day with all students on your programme. Depending on the courses you are enrolled on, you may need to stay on for the following two days.
