About Diploma In Operations And Production Management in Ara Institute of Canterbury

Use your strong organisational skills and advance your appreciation of the procedures required to ensure production functions at optimum levels.

You will explore the best methods for optimising supply chain relationships and the logistics of production, including considerations from an engineering perspective.

Core studies include the essentials of project management, product development, operations management and resource integration management.

We also introduce you to other relevant topics including industrial relations, human resources and finance and management accounting.

If you complete one additional course Advanced Project Management (AMPM700) and choose Introduction to Finance (AMIF603) as your elective option, you will graduate with two graduate diplomas - the Graduate Diploma in Operations and Production Management and the Graduate Diploma in Project Management, provided that your industry project reflects both fields of study.

Career opportunities

On completion of this graduate diploma you are qualified for employment in managerial and consultation roles throughout industry, as well as for supervisory and logistical technician positions in manufacturing companies. Using electives to concentrate on courses in international business and/or industrial relations may be helpful for your career.
