This B.Sc. programme in Food Science and Health prepares graduates for careers in Ireland’s largest industry. About 40,000 people are employed in the food industry which generates an annual gross output of approximately €15.6 billion. The Government has targeted the food sector as being of great strategic importance, capable of generating considerably more wealth and employment. Academic qualification equivalents

• Standard XII examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Metro State Boards or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), with first-division/class standing and a minimum average grade of 70%. 

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5* with no less than 6.0 in any component.

  *Please note some programmes have a higher IELTS requirement.

  **Please note, we can only accept Academic IELTS. General IELTS will not be accepted. 

• TOEFL : 580 (paper based) or 90 (internet based)
• PTE: a minimum score of 61 (with no section score below 59)
