About Pre-veterinary Medicine in University of Regina

University of Regina students can complete the admission requirements for the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Students are eligible to apply to the University of Saskatchewan after the completion of 60 credit hours of required and elective courses. Pre-veterinary courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a degree in science at the University of Regina.

Each Professional program is slightly different and students are encouraged to contact the admissions department of the program they are interested in to confirm and develop an adequate understanding of the application requirements.  The links above will take you to the web pages of the professional programs that students will most often apply for after completing their pre-professional requirements at the University of Regina.  Students are welcome to meet with the Academic Program Advisor in Science to discuss other programs and get assistance with choosing courses that will meet pre-requisite requirements for their Professional program of interest.

Academic qualification equivalents

Applying as a secondary school student:

One of the following from the 10th year:

• School Leaving Certificate
• All India Secondary School Certificate
• India Certificate of Secondary Education

AND

One of the following from the 12th year:

• State Higher Secondary Certificate
• All India and Delhi Senior School Certificate
• India School Certificate

Transferring from another Post-secondary Institution:

• Original transcript of grades from all post-secondary institutions attended (must be sent directly from the institution or in an institution sealed envelope)

• Diploma (where attained)

English language requirements (one of the below):

MINIMUM SCORE REQUIRED For All Faculties (Except Nursing)

• IELTS: Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0
• PTE: 63 overall,59 each

MINIMUMFACULTY OF NURSING

• IELTS: Overall Band score of 7.0 with no band less than 5.5 and 7.0 or higher in Speaking
• PTE: Minimum score 65
