About Pre-agriculture & Bioresources in University of Regina

Interested in agriculture, agri-food systems, agribusiness, or managing land, biotic, and/or water resources?

Students can take their first year of their Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, or Bachelor of Science in Renewable Resource Management at the University of Regina before transfering to the University of Saskatchewan to complete the final three years.

The courses completed in the first year at the University of Regina are a mix of Arts and Science courses, and are mostly predetermined (see Calendar pg. 310 - 311).

Students will apply to the University of Saskatchewan for admission to the College of Agriculture per University of Saskatchewan regulations and the applicable deadline dates during their first year.

If, after completing your first year at the University of Regina, you decide to remain at the University of Regina and complete a different degree, the courses you have completed will transfer to a variety of University of Regina degree programs.

Academic qualification equivalents

Applying as a secondary school student:

One of the following from the 10th year:

• School Leaving Certificate
• All India Secondary School Certificate
• India Certificate of Secondary Education

AND

One of the following from the 12th year:

• State Higher Secondary Certificate
• All India and Delhi Senior School Certificate
• India School Certificate

Transferring from another Post-secondary Institution:

• Original transcript of grades from all post-secondary institutions attended (must be sent directly from the institution or in an institution sealed envelope)

• Diploma (where attained)

English language requirements (one of the below):

MINIMUM SCORE REQUIRED For All Faculties (Except Nursing)

• IELTS: Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0
• PTE: 63 overall,59 each

MINIMUMFACULTY OF NURSING

• IELTS: Overall Band score of 7.0 with no band less than 5.5 and 7.0 or higher in Speaking
• PTE: Minimum score 65
