About Classical And Medieval Studies in University of Regina

Classical and medieval studies will provide you with an understanding of Greek and Roman art, literature, languages and history.  You will study the Middle Ages, the Crusades and Latin and Greek languages while developing the ability to analyze complex issues and to think creatively and analytically.

Classical Studies explores the whole of the Greek and Roman past, its languages and literature, history, art and ideas.  You will gain an insight into our contemporary world by learning about the cultures that have influenced it.  A degree in Classics prepares you for anything that requires disciplined, creative thinking.  Graduates find employment in organizations that look for well-educated people who can think and write well, who are flexible and creative.

Introduction to the Civilizations of Greece and Rome, Greek Mythology, Life and Death in Middle Ages, Roman Social History,  Medieval Christianity.

• IELTS: Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0
• PTE: 63 overall,59 each

• IELTS: Overall Band score of 7.0 with no band less than 5.5 and 7.0 or higher in Speaking
• PTE: Minimum score 65
