In the Bachelor of Communication Studies program, you specialize in journalism or professional communication. Program of Study

The Bachelor of Communication Studies (BCS) provides you with the core skills of effective communication, combined with career specialization in one of two majors: professional communication or journalism. The courses in the majors offer depth and rigour, supported by a liberal arts framework and electives that provide breadth, specialization and choice.

A Bachelor of Communication Studies is in high demand across a variety of industries, and the types of jobs you can do are numerous and diverse. The National Occupational Classification Codes (NOCS) lists about 300 occupational titles for journalists and other communications professionals combined.

Academic qualification equivalents

• Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 65 percent in high school courses

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS      :       overall band score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 5.5 in each band.
• TOEFL    :       86 and a minimum score of 21 in each section.
• PTE         :       overall score of 59 and a minimum score of 56 in each band.
