The Tourism - Travel program is a two-year diploma that focuses on travel consulting, sales and service, tariffs and ticketing, group tours, package holidays, accommodations, airline service and reservations. These tourism courses will also teach you world geography and the latest computer technology used in the industry.

You'll graduate this travel program with hands-on learning experience as well as skills in business and administration, analysis, customer relations, promotion, conflict resolution and more.

This tourism course will present job opportunities with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, transportation companies, hotels, destination management companies, government tourism offices. You'll be prepared for jobs including:

The graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and experience to establish a career in: tour management, tourism product sales and marketing, wholesale and retail reservations, customer service, travel consulting, guest services, operations, niche travel and tourism.

Academic qualification equivalents

• Class 12 passed students from a recognized board including CBSE, CISCE or a state board
• All India Senior School Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate/Standard 12 or Indian School Certificate (Year 12) as recognized qualifications
• Final minimum average of 65.0% based on the highest six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses

English language requirements (one of the below):

IELTS: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test with an overall score of 5.5  - 7.0 with no score less than 5.0 - 6.5 in reading and listening and a score of 7.0 in writing and speaking, with test results within the last two years
Please note, some Whitireia degree level programmes require a higher level of English language competence. 

TOEFL iBT :Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test with a minimum score of 60 - 100for the Internet-based test (iBT), with test results within the last two years

PTE: Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) with a minimum score of 40 - 65, with test results within the last two years
