About Applied Aerospace Manufacturing in Fanshawe College

This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will provide students with the specialized knowledge and skills required for a career in aircraft maintenance and repair.

The curriculum is designed around the standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry (AS9100) to prepare graduates for a work environment that adheres to that system's requirements.

Practical elements of aerospace manufacturing skills, work-environment readiness, safety management systems, materials handling and tooling will be the focus of this Graduate Certificate. The program will be delivered in a face-to-face (web-facilitated) format.

Graduates from this program will be prepared for careers in the aerospace industry for jobs requiring skills in aircraft maintenance and repair.  Career opportunities include: Aircraft Design Engineer, Quality and Certifications, Structural Assembler, Operations Management, Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Project Analyst, Project Coordinators.

Academic qualification equivalents

• A College Diploma, or College Advanced Diploma, or College Graduate Certificate or bachelor's degree.

English language requirements (one of the below):

IELTS: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test with an overall score of 5.5  - 7.0 with no score less than 5.0 - 6.5 in reading and listening and a score of 7.0 in writing and speaking, with test results within the last two years
Please note, some Whitireia degree level programmes require a higher level of English language competence. 

TOEFL iBT :Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test with a minimum score of 60 - 100for the Internet-based test (iBT), with test results within the last two years

PTE: Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) with a minimum score of 40 - 65, with test results within the last two years
