The Diploma in Arts and Science Studies allows you to design your own full- or part-time program. Discover your passions by taking courses from many disciplines, or concentrate on a particular subject area if you already have a specific educational goal in mind.
Diploma to degree
The Diploma in Arts and Science Studies may lead you directly into a specific program or degree at another institution. If you are headed to UVic, you can complete your first two years of university study at Camosun. Our Academic Advising department can help you to choose the right courses for transfer into third-year studies at UVic or at many other institutions. This diploma can also lead to a full block transfer to Royal Roads University's Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program.
What to expect
With courses offered at both Lansdowne and Interurban campuses, as well as online, the Arts & Science Studies program can also be tailored to meet your educational goals.
This diploma allows you to design your own program within an academic framework. If you have a good idea about your educational or career goals, we recommend you meet with an Academic Advisor for assistance with course selection.
Years 1 and 2
To complete this diploma program, you will take a total of 20 courses at the 100-level or higher.
Academic qualification equivalents
- Bachelor's degree programs require a minimum of six Grade 12 credits at the university and/or university/college level.*
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS : (Academic) score of 6.0 overall (no sub-score less than 6.0)
- TOEFL : score of 78 overall (no sub-score less than 19)
- PTE : Academic score of 54 overall (no sub-score less than 50)

Students in ELD courses who also register in any academic courses (including upgrading courses) will be required to pay additional tuition and fees per course.
