In 1845, the president of the Republic of Texas signed the charter to officially establishing Baylor University. The university is the state's oldest continually operating educational institution. It is a prestigious private Christian university. It consists of 12 academic colleges and schools. The university holds the accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC). Also, many programmes offered by it are approved by various relevant professional bodies and organizations.

Nestled along the banks of Brazos River in the city of Wako in Texas, the Baylor University campus is spread across 1000 acres. The campus features the first-rate infrastructure and offers the best-in-class learning experience to students. It houses hi-tech laboratories, libraries, art studious, IT labs and a seminar hall at the university campus. It also boasts of indoor and outdoor stadiums, auditoriums, cafeterias, stores and various other facilities.
