College Info

Richmond is an International American University based in West London, UK, founded in 1972.

Since 1981, it has awarded American degrees accredited by the Higher Education Commission of the Middle States. After receiving Taught Degree Awarding from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, Richmond is be able to grant its own UK degree since 2018.

It is the only university in the United Kingdom to offer two (UK and US) degrees, giving its graduates worldwide recognition.

Over 1,100 students are enrolled in 15 academic majors, including international business and finance, media studies, and international relations, from over 100 countries.

The University of Richmond offers a small class experience to its students, with no more than 20 students on average. Richmond offers employability seminars, work experience, volunteering, international internships and a guaranteed semester abroad.

Accommodation is located on the Richmond Hill campus in the impressive main building as well as in the surrounding buildings. Students can choose from a variety of room types to single occupancy rooms, from traditional shared rooms in the US style.
Kensington Campus students are housed in four residences within walking distance of the main campus buildings.

Richmond Hill Campus

The Richmond Campus is a Six Acre Land at the top of Richmond Hill and its for first and second year students, who were transferred to the Kensington Campus after two years.

University of Richmond Financial Aid for International Students

  • The University meets the need-based financial requirements 100% of all the admitted students. The average financial award was 47,520 USD each for international students in the academic year 2019-20.
  • For merit based scholarships ‘Richmond Scholar’ award is given to 25 students and includes full tuition waiver and room and board charges amounting to approximately 2.60 USD lacs for four years. No separate application is required as applicants are selected on their academic performance and standardized test scores.
  • Presidential scholarships of one-third of tuition fee discounts are awarded to 10% of students on the basis of admission application only.
  • Almost 100% of university students receive some type of financial aid.
