College Info

Teesside University is a public university with over 85 years of teaching experience in digital innovation, forensics, sports and health sciences. Its main campus is in Middlesbrough, in North East England Teesside. Earlier the university was referred to as the Constantine Technical University of. It acquired university status in 1992

University of Teesside changed its name to "Teesside University," in 2009. Alternative names included "Middlesbrough University" and "Tees Valley University." The University is strong in the area of forensic science With more than 20 years of experience in this field, it has the biggest UK course range in the area of forensic science and investigation, criminology and police training apart from that it excels in the field of sport and exercise, designing and animating computer games, many of which are accredited by professional bodies.

Research institutes at the University focus on research excellence in a number of key areas. This includes virtual environments, nanotechnology, rehabilitation, history and sociology.

Teesside University has scored 84 per cent in the 2019 National Student Survey for overall student satisfaction.

  • Middlesbrough is one of the best resorts in Great Britain between the Moors of North Yorkshire and the North East coast.

Teesside University Scholarships 

Scholarship worth £1,000/£1,500 is offered to the international students attending full-time UG and PG courses considering their GPA/IELTS score.

International students choosing to stay with Teesside for studying postgraduate program after graduating, are offered rebate of £1,000 on the 1st-year tuition fee.

Teesside University English Language Requirement:

Undergraduate:

  • IELTS – 6.0 , no modules less than 5.5
  • TOEFL – 80 overall ,17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
  • PTE – 51-52 overall, 51 in all components.

Postgraduate:

  • IELTS – 6.5, no modules less than 6.0
  • TOEFL – 88 overall ,17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
  • PTE – 52 – 58 overall, 51 in all components.

Some courses have different Entry Requirement.

For the majority of programmes at degree level and above, the minimum IELTS band score must be 5.5 in each band.
However, the following health courses require a minimum IELTS band score of 6.5 in each band:
