Queen's University Belfast is a public research university situated in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is one of the top 200 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2020) and a member of the Russell Network of UK research-intensive universities providing world-class education and research.
Queen's University Belfast reiterated its status as a world leader in research under the Research Excellence Framework in 2014. 75 per cent of Queen's University study was 'world class' or 'internationally outstanding' and 14 subjects ranked in the top 20 in the UK.
The Times and Sunday Times University Guide ranked Queen's University Belfast 15th overall in Student Experience, 14th in Research and 28th in Graduate Employment.

Internships & Placements
Queen’s internship programmes place students with employers to gain a real-life insight into the world of work and business. The alumni mentoring scheme works to connect students with high-level former students across the world. Queen’s also encourages students to take advantage of study abroad or international placement opportunities.
Queen's is offering housing in a purpose-built 'student village' called Elms Village, south of the main campus, as well as a new Willow Walk housing. A variety of houses are also available in the South Belfast area, including College Gardens and Mount Charles. All accommodation is within a 15-minute walk of the main campus.
The University has received the Queen's Anniversary Award for Higher and Further Education on five occasions – for Northern Ireland's Integrated Cancer Treatment system and for world-class accomplishments in green chemistry, environmental research, palaeoecology and law.
Queen's was awarded the Excellence and Innovation in the Arts Award in 2008 with the designation of UK Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2009, received the Outstanding Engineering Research Team of the Year category in 2010 and the Most Innovative Teacher of the Year Award in 2011.
