College Info

The University of Middlesex is a public research university in Hendon, northwest London, England. The university name is taken from its position within the historic Middlesex county boundaries.

Middlesex University was established in Tottenham, north-east London in 1878, when St. Katherine's College was founded. In 1973, Middlesex Polytechnic was established following the incorporation of seven other colleges before gaining university status in 1992.

Over 25,000 students from around 140 countries are staffed by the university.

Significant developments in Middlesex include the invention of a thermionic valve used to build the first computer in the world (1904) and the invention of a new type of metal called argentium silver, (1990).

In 2017, the university opened the UK's first ever cyber factory, where students gain experience in getting them ready for future workplace jobs and business opportunities.

Campus

Middlesex University  is a single site campus located in Hendon, north London. It's a green and peaceful part of town well connected to the rest of London, the UK and beyond. It has invested over £ 200 m to transform the Hendon site at the University into one of London's largest campuses.

Campus is located in North West London, near the Underground Station at Hendon Central. Besides London, the university has also been operating an overseas campus in Dubai Since 2004 and opened another one in Mauritius in October 2009. In September 2013, Middlesex opened its third international campus in Malta

Accommodation 

• For all full-time first-year undergraduates, the university guarantees a place in halls. It has five self-catering halls, including traditional common halls and bathrooms or en-suite rooms, in close proximity to the University. All accommodation has common kitchens and the rental of bills, insurance and internet is included.
• All accommodation has shared kitchen facilities, and rent includes bills, insurance and internet content.
• The distance from the campus to the student accommodation varies from just under 1 km to 5 km.
• The university also provides support to students looking for private accommodation rentals.

Awards

The Teaching Excellence Framework was honored by Silver in 2017. The university has been awarded three times with the Queen's Anniversary Prize and twice for its international work, the Queen's Award for Enterprise.

Middlesex University International Student Admissions

Middlesex University accepts students from all around the world and currently has over 160 international partnerships.

The transcripts must be either copy of the original documents on letter headed paper or with a stamp from the academic institution. Applicants must provide their permanent details like post address or email address. English Proficiency Test Score Required for International Students

The applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit one of the following test scores to Middlesex University. The minimum test scores required for both UG and PF courses are as follows:

Visa Process for International Students

• All international applicants need to have the Tier 4 visa clearance for six months.
• Applicant must be at least 16 years old in order to apply for a Tier 4 visa.
• Financial and documentation requirements need to be fulfilled by the applicant.
• Passports, travel documentation and a tuberculosis test result are required when applying for Tier 4 visa.
• A minimum of 40 points are required for Tier 4.
• Out of these 40 points, 30 points are for a valid CAS from a Tier 4 sponsor, which will be Middlesex University.
• 10 points are for financial means for college tuition, living costs and application fee.
• A CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is sent to the applicant when he/she is admitted at the university.
• This CAS contains a reference number that must be stated on the visa application form.
• The validity of the visa depends upon the duration of the course taken by the applicant.
