Newton College of Business and Technology Application Processes

1. To be considered for a spot in a programme of their choice, students must fill out an Expression Of Interest Form (EOI) and send it to NCBT along with the *supporting papers. Please click here to get the file. Form for Expression of Interest (EOI) Please note that you can acquire a copy of an Expression Of Interest Form (EOI) through a local NCBT Recruitment Agent or, for onshore students, from NCBT's Auckland campus.

2. NCBT will respond to the student with an Offer of Place if all requirements are met after evaluating the EOI and supporting materials. Students must pay all fees and complete Registration and Admission procedures before beginning their programme of study, thus an Offer of Place does not ensure enrolment.

3. Students can only apply for a visa if they have received an Unconditional Offer of Place from NCBT.

For more details on applying for a student visa please refer to Immigration New Zealand’s website https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/about-visa/full-fee-paying-student-visa
4. After their visa is accepted in principle by Immigration New Zealand, the student deposits course fees, including medical and travel insurance, to NCBT's Independent Trust Account (Number provided with the offer of place letter) (INZ). The method of paying a fee before or after a visa is granted varies by nation. This page contains information about the visa application procedure. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/visa-factsheet/full-fee-paying-student-visa#process

Onshore students can enrol in the programme by paying either one semester's fees or two semesters' fees.

5. The student receives a Confirmation of Enrolment letter confirming their fee payment and placement in the programme. This letter also contains information about the course start date, orientation date, and end date.

6. Students acquire visas after submitting to Immigration New Zealand NCBT's Unconditional Offer of Place, Confirmation of Enrolment (fee receipt), and all other required documentation.
