The Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) is a government-run higher education institution in New Zealand that was founded in 1975. The Hawke's Bay Polytechnic was established in 1987 and was previously known as Hawke's Bay Community College. The current name of the institution was given to it in 1996. The Ministry of Education and the Tertiary Education Commission of New Zealand both recognise it.
EIT's main campus is in a suburb of Napier City, in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. It is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and stunning architecture, providing students with an excellent learning environment. In addition, the university has campuses in Auckland and Gisborne. Aside from that, EIT runs a number of learning centres throughout the city where educational programmes are delivered. The campus is well-kept, with well-kept buildings, pathways, parking lots, and recreational and green spaces. Smart classrooms, lecture halls, high-tech laboratories, and practical rooms are among the institution's superb academic facilities and services that enable effective learning and teaching.
EIT Libraries offer books, newspapers, journals, CDs, DVDs, databases, and other electronic resources for employees, students, and community members to use for study and research. Aside from that, EIT provides a variety of services to protect the students' safety, health, and well-being. The Hawke's Bay campus offers two cafes and one fine-dining restaurant, while the Tairawhiti campus has two food outlets. On-campus counselling and Chaiplancy services are also available. Students get free Wi-Fi access across the campus. The beauty and body therapy clinic, salon, massage clinic, and bookshop are just a few of the public services on campus.
Napier
In Napier, Hastings, and the Hawke's Bay region, cycling paths, wineries, rivers, and beaches make it easy to have fun. The outdoor concert at Mission Estate Winery, as well as the Art Deco weekend, attract tourists from all over the world.
Off campus, there are numerous bars and cafés where you may meet up with friends and other students.
AucklandWine districts, breathtaking beaches, natural rainforest, and the magnificent Hauraki Gulf surround the city's world-class shopping, restaurants, pubs, and galleries. From the Waitakere Ranges to Mission Bay, from the Viaduct to Pokeno, there is something exceptional to be found in Auckland.
Gisborne
Gisborne is a laid-back seaside town that is the first in the world to witness the sun rise on a new day. Beaches, sunshine, and surfing are all popular in the city. Join 30,000 other locals and guests at the popular annual Rhythm and Vines festival if you enjoy live music.
