College Info

HEC Montreal was established in 1907 and is a part of the Université de Montréal, which is situated in Canada. It was the first business and management school to open in Canada and was founded by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. It holds accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It was the first institution in America to be granted accreditation by these esteemed bodies. Universities Canada, Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE), and the Canadian Bureau for International Education are all affiliated with the institution (CBIE).

The school's main structure is located on the Cote-Sainte-Catherine Campus. The 1996-built structure includes cutting-edge learning environments with cutting-edge equipment. The school's initial main structure, commonly referred to as the Decelles campus, was opened for business in 1970. Currently, the structure serves as the secondary structure and houses the academic resources for the Ph.D. and Master of Science in Administration programmes. The University-de-Montreal Metro Station is close to the campus.

Numerous bachelor's and master's degree programmes in a variety of business and management fields are offered by HEC Montreal. Three delivery methods are available for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme: French, Bilingual (French and English), and Trilingual (French, English, and Spanish). The school offers quick graduate courses in a variety of topics, including business analytics, user experience, supply chain management, and more. 25 certificates in the field of business are offered by the school. On its online learning portal EDUlib, it also offers free online courses.

HEC Montreal accepts applications from international students. It requires applicants to be proficient in both English and French and demonstrate the same by meeting minimum language requirements. Language Proficiency Test Score for International Students

An international applicant must provide proof of language proficiency in English as well as French.

English language proficiency requirements: Each international applicant must demonstrate his or her English language proficiency. This can be done through any of the following ways:

  1. College diploma in an English-speaking establishment
  2. High school diploma entirely in English
  3. HEC Montreal equivalent language test from another English-speaking university
  4. Three years/ 90 credits of university-level courses (at an English-speaking university) solely in English
  5. English as second language proficiency certificate from a recognized institution with 30 credits
  6. Results of any of the English language proficiency tests mentioned in the table below with a score higher than minimum expected score:
