Durham College has a history since 1967 of preparing students with the right skills, knowledge and desire for advancing ideas and demonstrating excellence. It is a value driven organization, committed to equal access, diversity, respect and delivering quality customer service.

The college’s nine academic schools offer more than 140 market-driven programs, led by industry experts, across a wide range of disciplines such as business, engineering technology, health, hospitality, science, media and etc. All of these programs enable students to develop the skills required to meet the demands of today’s job market. Durham offers these programs at its three locations within Durham Region, the Oshawa and Whitby campuses and Pickering Learning Site.

Research is at the heart of what Durham College does as a post-secondary institution. The college’s Office of Research Services, Innovation and Entrepreneurship is responsible for driving innovation and, since its inception in 2009, has created a strong applied research agenda for Durham College. In 2017, the college was ranked as a top 50 research college for the fifth year in a row.

Durham College is situated in the heart of the Durham Region, a hotbed for sports, culture, education and music. As part of the Greater Toronto Area, the region is one hour from downtown Toronto and is considered a cultural hub and key centre for business development.

Durham College Scholarships/ Financial Aid

Durham College is committed to offer quality education and awards various scholarships and bursaries to its applicants for the same. International aspirants seeking financial aid and scholarships to study in Canada can avail these awards on the basis of their academic and personal excellence, community involvement and leadership skills.

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have submitted his/her application and deposited the fee indicated in offer letter prior to deadline.
  • Remain enrolled in a program at DC past the 10th day of the semester.

English Language Requirement:

  • UG: Academic Over all score of 6.0 and no module less than 6.0
  • PG: Academic Over all score of 6.5 and no module less than 6.0

Applicants who have completed one of the following will not be required to submit additional documentation:

  • Grade 12 English credit at the C or U level
  • Post-secondary domestic English credit

  • Successful test result from the English assessment (Accuplacer) at the Durham College Test Centre
